Work for a cause,
not for applause.
Live life to express,
not to impress.

Alex Turner is one of the best song writers out there. I've only recently started to write poems and all of that jazz. Listening to Alex Turner's music really inspires me to become more emotive with words. His lyrics are witty, sarcastic, clever and almost sassy, I absolutely enjoy every song he writes.
Arctic Monkeys has yet to disappoint me. They have definitely refined their sound since they started up. Every album is different but it's always "Arctic Monkeys-esque", impressive and distinct. They don't take themselves too seriously. Arctic Monkeys will forever be my favorite, and Arcade Fire is right behind them.

10 mile stereo
Just a few of my current music favorites:
Beach House: Where have I been for the past few years?! I've heard of this band, and heard amazing reviews about them, but I never got to give them a go until recently. Oh my, I love Beach House! I now regret not going to Fuck Yeah Fest, knowing that they played the best show on Sunday as well. Poopyshit. The fact that the voice is quite androgynous makes the sound mystical as well. They sound intangible, yet some how I picture myself relaxing at the beach listening to them. It feels airy, summery and psychedelic with an ethereal touch.
Wild Belle: Funky, catchy and soulful, Wild Belle reminds me a bit of Santogold. I'm diggin' the sax. What is it about the beach? I imagine myself driving along the coast of Jamaica listening to Wild Belle...
Rhye: I've been obsessed with them for awhile. The song "Open" just brings back memories, one in particular. Everytime I hear that song, I immediately travel back in time and chills just vibrate down my spine. Rhye sounds like Sade... very sensual, I love it.
Oh and yes, I've been obsessed with One Direction! They are my guilty pleasure.

judgment day
-genuine
-appreciation
-compassion
These traits look like they are easy to embody, and I'm sure everyone will think they have all three or at least 2 of the 3. I will disagree because I only know one, maybe two people who have all three. I don't know everybody, obviously that's impossible. But of the majority that I do know, I haven't seen all three traits possessed by many. You can't tell right off the bat if people have these traits, you have to get to know them. The key to whether if they're compassionate or not is the easiest to detect, but I highly doubt people know how to detect it, because it's simple but it's not at all obvious.
I sound judgmental, but I am and proud to be. I am judgmental based on people's personality, and some people are much more transparent than others. While other people tend to be judgmental on possession and social class, I have no interest about that. A beautiful is face is nothing if someone possesses an ugly heart. My perception of people is different from other people, I cannot see what they see because I don't find unpleasant personalities attractive. To me, it shows on their face, their actions and how they word things. I never understood why people couldn't see my perspective. But when I think about it, I feel blessed that I can see what others can't.
Remember: youth and beauty will fade, money will come and go but one thing that will stay if you have it and use it, is the radiant glow of your soul that oozes from within. That radiance will be seen by everyone but appreciated by a few.

Life is so simple, if you know how to deal with it. I've decided to take in these simple wise words in account to my life. They just make so much sense, and make it easier to weave out troubles out of your life. Life is what you make of it, and rediscovering what I've already known really helps me become stronger and realize who are worth keeping in your life, and what you should live for: your life. You have to surround yourself with happy people who actually understand you and know the basics of being a decent human being. Recently, I found that when people talk to me with no compassion for human beings, it makes me shake my head that people could be so into themselves. Those are the people I don't ever want to incoporate into my life. This quote posted today is what I embody in the most. I love all people who are compassionate, however, I do have a few people in my life I am not fond of, and of course, I am only human. It takes A LOT for me to really hate someone, only one person has done that to me. Once I really hate someone, they are never invited back into my life. No matter how much I dislike that person, I've never wanted to harm that person.
Dailytherapy helps put things into perspective. I like how they show the beauty of life, define a good human being with morals, without incorporating religion. For me, I find that people who love and have respect for their family are truly amazing people. It only makes sense that if they don't care about the people who cared about them, what makes them care about anybody else? What does love mean to them when they can't love people who love them? And of course, there are different family circumstances. But those are the basics. I will be posting my favorite quotes from daily therapy every week.

The mountains break through the veil of aquatic blue.
Once was a dry parabolic sand is now nourished with algae and coral.
Colors radiate through the blue gelatin sea,
the sky reflects a rainbow iridescence.
The sun sets for hours, then the moon illuminates the mysterious underworld.
The glow brings life back and revives the floating souls beneath.

When I listen to it, I feel spiritualized.
A glowing sensation, like I've just been touch by the heavens.
As my soul glides into a celestial palace built with obsolete organs
and relic pipes of brass, my dress flows with the zephyr of harmony
traveling through the echos of the corridor.
It caresses its wave of hymn down my spine
and embodies me.

I have already accepted what I know will happen. It's not easy, but I must. Everything moves forward. Although I am happy and supportive, I truly am. I am human. But there is no animosity here. There's no point to it and plus I couldn't do that, especially when I know how lovely it really is.
Just as the river keeps flowing, it never turns back. It merges to the sea and is no longer the fresh water it used to be.

"Just as music is art for the ear and painting is art for the eye, perfume is art for the nose."
It's amazing how certain scents can evoke the mind. How we translate scent is dependent on someone's perspective. It is purely by emotions, whether it reminds you of an old song, memories of the past or possibly even something exotic. Each time you take a whiff of something, it takes you to a place... whether it be home, somewhere comforting or possibly even somewhere frightening. Generally, people like to correlate scents to something rather positive.
Why do I where perfume? I have a signature scent, and I wear it for me. The scent brings out my character, it's the best way to describe myself without using emotive language.
But of course, you can describe a scent using emotive language, which is always aesthetic and stimulating.

oh, charlie
Before watching Perks of Being A Wallflower, I didn't know what to expect. It seemed like some kind of lame indie love story. Surprisingly, it turned out to be quite good. The movie itself, had a lot of motions to it: happy, sad, comedy, etc.
I am so in love with Charlie. Some parts you feel really sorry for him and I almost cried, almost. He's just a genuine person with an empathetic quality to him. You can't help but fall for him. You can definitely relate to charlie. There are certain qualities in him that every one can identity themselves with to some aspect.
